Alchematic
Welcome to your new job as an Alchematic Engineer! Combining chemicals by hand to transmute materials is sooooo medieval; in the modern age, enterprising alchemists use various machines along a moving assembly line to automate the entire process. Your job is to do exactly that, then use the money you earn to further expand your factory! Keep reading for tips and tricks on how to get started.

YOUR FIRST MACHINE:
The process begins with the Extractor, as pictured above. Its purpose is to mine the lead deposits scattered around the map:
In order for the extractor to work properly, it needs to be placed on at least 4 lead tiles. Once it's placed, it will automatically mine the lead and send it out to your other machines! But of course it won't go anywhere unless you give it somewhere to go; thus, the next thing you'll need is a conveyor belt.
Conveyor belts will move lead and gold around wherever you need it to go. Use the R and Shift+R keys while placing belts to rotate them. Belts will automatically become corner pieces to turn the direction you want.
You may see something that looks kinda like this either going into or coming out of a machine. This is where you connect a belt in order to move materials from the machine onto your other belts. The extractor has one output, where it will place the lead. The lead then must travel along conveyor belts until it reaches the next machine: the Transmuter.
This is where the magic happens - literally. Lead that enters the Transmuter via its input is philosophized and transmogrificated into pure gold, which then leaves the machine at its output. Again, you'll need to connect conveyor belts to the input and output - just make sure that the arrows match and you should be good to go.
Finally, the gold needs to be brought into this large void called a Deposit. As soon as gold enters this portal from any side, it falls in and money is added to your balance. Use that money to further improve your factory!
As your factory gets more complicated, you may find that your conveyor belts get a little tricky to manage. This machine, called a splitter, can help with some of your belt-related woes by splitting, merging, redirecting, and dividing conveyor lines. It has different behaviors depending on how many conveyors are going in and out of it, but it does need at least 1 input and at least 1 output to function.
And that's it! Have fun building your factory, and remember: make lots of money!

this is really great on a demo scale! i like the art and love this type of game. if there was some upgrades or more advanced buildings i could see myself putting quite a lot of hours into this. the only disappointing thing is that after putting down a few belts you've kinda reached the end of the game and are just in sandbox mode to make the numbers go up faster. i'd be very happy to see some other fantasy metal mixing like orichalcum or mithril and combining things to make the process a bit deeper.
